Open, coupé and sport fly yachts from 9 to 36 m, the Scarani family since 1961.

Rio Yachts was founded in 1961 in Sarnico, on Lake Iseo, by Fabio Scarani and is still run by the family. A neighbour of Riva, the yard long built runabouts and mid-size open boats before moving upmarket in the 2010s.

The range now covers 9 to 36 m: the Daytona as open and coupé, the Sport Coupé, the Granturismo and the large Daytona 34 and 36 m that place the brand in the composite superyacht world. Lines are by Marino Alfani; the design is restrained and seamanlike.

Before you sign: Rio offers serious value on the 12 to 20 m, with sound hulls and finishes that have improved markedly. The large models are recent, used references are rare. A responsive family house, where options are discussed directly.
