Two identical boats, same price. Only one sells.
A boat does not sell because she is online. She sells because the right buyers saw her, well presented, at the right price, in the first weeks. The listing that stalls, the price cut six months later, the buyer negotiating on wear: all of it is decided at the start.
We are paid only on the sale.
The price. A boat listed 15 % too high does not receive offers 15 % below asking. She receives nothing, then ends up selling for less than a boat positioned right from day one. Our valuation starts from actual sales of comparable units, not from what it would take to win the mandate.
The presentation. Photographs taken on a fine day, a clean boat, an up-to-date maintenance log and a listing that answers the questions before they are asked. A buyer who finds everything decides fast. A buyer who has to ask hesitates.
The reach. Private buyers look at three portals, brokers look at others, and the best buyers look at nothing: we call them. Your boat has to exist in all three places.
“A well-presented boat finds her buyer. My job is everything that happens before the first viewing and after the first offer.”
Florian Arneodo, founder of YachtDeals
A reasoned price range within 24 hours, a clear mandate, a photo shoot, the specification and the full file: history, invoices, maintenance log.
The boat goes live the same day on our site and twelve international portals, with our fellow brokers and across our base of owners and buyers. Not a listing we drop online: a launch.
A price adjustment, new photographs, a change of port, a boat show: each one becomes a new reason to look at your boat, and a new push.
The same person from the first call to the handover: offers, survey, sea trial, sale agreement, escrow, bill of sale, paperwork. Including with a buyer abroad.
The twelve international portals of the Boats Group network (YachtWorld, boats.com), plus Bateauavendre and Le Bon Coin in France. Baseline visibility. Necessary, rarely sufficient.
Our network of fellow brokers, our base of 1,300+ owners and buyers, our newsletters per boat. This is where most of our sales come from.
Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, a video shot on board. A buyer who has seen the boat move before visiting arrives already convinced.
Twenty years at sea, including a past as a captain, before making brokerage his profession. Price, presentation and timing are decided before the first listing. Send the model, the year and the home port: you receive a price range and a marketing plan within 24 hours, from the person who will run them.
Nothing circulates without your consent. Your identity and your intentions stay confidential from the first exchange to the sale.
What a buyer recently paid for a comparable boat, adjusted for condition, hours, equipment and season. Asking prices in online listings are a reference point, not a benchmark: those boats have not sold yet.
Priced right and well presented, a boat usually finds her buyer within the season. Priced too high at the start, she sells too, but later and often for less. That is why we spend time on the valuation.
A commission on the sale price, agreed in the mandate and paid on completion. Nothing before, nothing if the boat does not sell. Photography and distribution are included.
Yes, and we encourage it: a boat that goes to sea is a boat in working order. We arrange viewings around your outings.
Registration document, purchase invoice, proof of VAT status, maintenance and engine invoices, the maintenance log and the latest survey reports. We help you gather what is missing.
