Perini Navi

Italy · 40 to 90 m · Sail

Sailing superyachts from 40 to 90 m, the inventor of the short-handed sailing superyacht.

Fabio Perini, an industrialist in paper machinery, founded Perini Navi in 1983 with a simple idea: a large sailing yacht that a few people could handle thanks to furlers and captive winches. The yard has since built more than sixty sailing yachts, including the 88 m Maltese Falcon, and was taken over by The Italian Sea Group in 2022.

The range covers 40 to 90 m in aluminium and steel, ketches and sloops, with uncluttered decks and long-range cruising interiors. Hulls are built in Viareggio and La Spezia. The brand remains the reference for an owner who wants to sail far without a racing crew.

Before you sign: a Perini is designed with a naval architect and a sail plan from day one, and the lead time exceeds three years. The used market is real, with well-maintained yachts: worth comparing before launching a new build. Refits are now carried out at the group's site.
