Fincantieri Yachts

Italy · 70 to 140 m · Motor

Megayachts from 70 to 140 m, the yacht division of Europe's largest shipbuilder.

Fincantieri Yachts is the yacht division of Fincantieri, the Italian state-controlled group that builds cruise ships and naval vessels. Created around 2000, it applies the methods and industrial capacity of a cruise-ship yard to yachts.

Production starts where others stop: 70 to 140 m, in steel and aluminium, with deliveries such as Serene (134 m) or Ocean Victory (140 m). Projects are fully bespoke, carried out with international studios and naval engineering offices.

Before you sign: this is a ship contract more than a yacht contract, with an industrial organisation, strict milestones and a substantial owner's team. The advantage is capacity and financial strength; the trade-off, less flexibility than a family yard.
