Boréal was founded in 2005 in Tréguier by Jean-François Delvoye, a high-latitude sailor, with a clear programme: the aluminium centreboard sailing yacht able to go to Antarctica as well as dry out on a Breton beach.
The range covers 13 to 17 m: Boréal 44.2, 47.2, 52 and 56, with a doghouse protecting the helm, beaching legs, and warm interiors for cold climates.
