Amel

France · 15 to 20 m · Sail

Blue-water cruising sailing yachts from 15 to 20 m, ready to go.

Amel was founded in 1964 in La Rochelle by Henri Amel, who designed sailing yachts for a couple sailing around the world: protected centre cockpit, electric furlers, everything included. The Super Maramu has circled the globe hundreds of times. The yard belongs to its employees and to investors.

The range covers 15 to 20 m: Amel 50, 60 and 70, now as sloops, with Berret-Racoupeau designs, delivered complete, without an options list. Construction remains in La Rochelle, in small series.

Strengths: a complete voyaging yacht without an options list, excellent resale with experienced sailors, and old ketches in high demand.
