Lürssen

Germany · 60 to 180 m · Motor

The largest yachts in the world, from 60 to 180 m.

Lürssen was founded in Bremen in 1875 by Friedrich Lürssen, who built one of the world's first motor boats in 1886. The group, still family owned, unites several yards in northern Germany and also builds naval vessels.

Yacht production covers 60 to 180 m, in steel and aluminium, fully bespoke: Azzam (180 m), Dilbar, Octopus, Ahpo. The yard took over Blohm+Voss in 2016 and has the largest covered docks in Europe. Studios are chosen by the owner.

Strengths: the top of the market, absolute confidentiality, and 60 to 80 m platforms quicker to deliver for a first large yacht.
