Abeking & Rasmussen was founded in 1907 in Lemwerder on the Weser by Georg Abeking and Henry Rasmussen. The yard has built legendary sailing yachts, minesweepers and special vessels, and remains independent with its own shareholders, distinct from Lürssen.
Yacht production covers 45 to 125 m, in steel and aluminium, with deliveries such as Excellence (80 m), Aviva (98 m), Cloudbreak and Elandess. The yard also masters SWATH technology, very stable twin hulls.
Strengths: recognised engineering, an industrial organisation, and a receptive ear for unusual technical projects.
