Excess was launched in 2018 by the Beneteau group to complement Lagoon with lighter, sportier catamarans with aft helms, for a clientele of owners rather than charter companies.
The range covers 11 to 15 m: Excess 11, 14 and 15, with VPLP designs, rigs more powerful than average and open cockpits. Production shares Lagoon's factories.
