Bertram was born in 1960 when Richard Bertram won the Miami-Nassau race on a Ray Hunt deep-V hull and launched the Bertram 31, the sportfish that defined the category. The brand has belonged since 2015 to the Gavio group, owner of Baglietto, and builds in Tampa.

The range covers 10 to 19 m: Bertram 35, 39, 50 and 61, as sportfish and centre console, with deep-V hulls made for big-game fishing in a rough sea.

Strengths: the name that invented the modern sportfish, reference hulls in a rough sea, and the solidity of the Gavio group.
