Nordhavn is the brand of Pacific Asian Enterprises, founded in 1978 in California by Dan Streech and Jim Leishman. The first Nordhavn 46 of 1989 defined the pleasure trawler able to cross oceans, and the brand organised a transatlantic rally of its owners in 2004.
The range covers 12 to 40 m: Nordhavn 41 to 120, in pure displacement, with heavy hulls, fuel for 3,000 to 5,000 miles, stabilisers and home-like layouts. Construction is entrusted to partner yards in Taiwan and China under American supervision.
