Overview

A 17-metre semi-displacement trawler designed by Michel Joubert and Bernard Nivelt, delivered in the “Elegance” specification with varnished mahogany joinery. She lies in the Vieux Port of Golfe-Juan.

Commissioned in Istanbul in 2011, she ran there for over ten years under a full-time captain, then came to the French Riviera in 2024 by way of Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Italy, Sicily, Malta, Sardinia and Corsica. Her present owners, a former superyacht captain and engineer and a former chief stewardess from 60-metre yachts, carry out her mechanical work and routine maintenance themselves. They are now taking the same model in New Zealand to cruise the Pacific.

Three helm stations, a separate crew cabin, 4,000 litres of fuel and unusually generous stowage define a boat built for extended cruising. The vessel is held under Temporary Admission, EU VAT not paid: the asking price is quoted exclusive of VAT.

Why this one

1

Berth available in Golfe-Juan

The berth is available and can be taken over by the buyer, at the buyer's cost. On this stretch of coast, that single factor governs how the boat can actually be used, far more than its inventory does.

2

Short-handed handling

Three helm stations (flybridge, wheelhouse and cockpit), bow and stern thrusters. She is handled by two people, including in harbour.

3

Separate crew cabin

Three guest cabins and two heads, plus a crew cabin with its own head and its own deck access. That configuration is uncommon on a 17-metre vessel.

4

Unusually generous stowage

Wardrobes, drawers, shelving and under-berth stowage across all three cabins, a chain locker, two mooring lockers, a gas bottle locker and a lazarette reached from the deck. She carries the gear of a long-range cruise without eating into the living space.
