Numarine

Explorers and sport yachts from 22 to 45 m, Turkey's push into semi-custom.

Numarine was founded in 2002 in Istanbul by Ömer Malaz, with the ambition of a modern yard able to compete with the Italians in semi-custom. The Gebze site, near Istanbul, builds in composite and, since the 2010s, in steel for the explorers.

The range covers 22 to 45 m: the XP (steel explorers, 22XP to 45XP), the Fly and the Hardtop in composite. Design is by Can Yalman; interiors are customisable. The 37XP and 32XP made the brand's reputation.

Strengths: very competitive value for volume on the mid-size explorer, short lead times, and a finish that has improved a great deal.
