Frauscher has built boats on the Austrian lakes since 1927, in Gmunden then Ohlsdorf, and the family still runs the yard. A pioneer of electric boats on Alpine lakes, it conquered the Mediterranean in the 2010s with strongly styled runabouts.
The range covers 6 to 15 m: the 747 Mirage, 858 Fantom, 1017 GT and 1414 Demon with combustion engines, and electric versions including the 858 Fantom Air and a collaboration with Porsche. Design is by Kiska and Thomas Gerr.
Strengths: a design object that resells very well, an electric pioneer, and an established network in the Mediterranean.
