Grand Banks was born in 1956 in Hong Kong at American Marine, and invented in the 1960s the pleasure trawler with the Grand Banks 36. Production moved to Singapore then Malaysia, and the company is listed in Singapore.
The range covers 13 to 26 m: GB54, GB60, GB62 and GB85, redesigned since 2014 with carbon-infused hulls and a semi-planing V that turned the trawler into a fast, economical boat.
Strengths: the name that invented the trawler, very efficient modern hulls, and teak finish that remains the reference.
