Dracan Marine was created in 2023 in Ostróda, Poland, to build sporty outboard-powered catamarans with cabins. Design is entrusted to Robert Błazejak, the Polish architect specialising in catamarans, and construction to the Model Art yard, one of the largest in Poland.
The Dracan 42, presented at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, measures 12.6 m, offers up to four cabins and two 400 hp Mercury outboards hidden under the aft sunpads: 30 knots flat out, 20 to 23 knots at economical cruise. Sport Top versions and larger models are announced.
Strengths: the space of a catamaran with the simplicity of outboards, a futuristic design noted in Cannes, and the industrial capacity of a large Polish yard behind the brand.
