Sport yachts and flybridge from 11 to 40 m, composite superyachts in development.
Robert Braithwaite founded Sunseeker in Poole in 1969, and the brand made its name in the 1980s and 1990s with fast, aggressively styled open boats, popularised by the cinema. Acquired by the Chinese Wanda group in 2013, it passed to private investors in 2023.
The Predator and Superhawk (sport), Manhattan (flybridge), Sport Yacht and Ocean (large volume) ranges cover 11 to 30 m; the Yacht 100 and the 131 go beyond 30 m, and a 49 m project has been announced. The style remains recognisable: taut lines, large cockpits, contemporary interiors.
Strengths: an unmistakable style, good stock availability, and sport yachts that resell well in the Mediterranean.
