Ocean Alexander was founded in 1978 in Kaohsiung by Alex Chueh and remains a family company, run by his son Johnny Chueh. The yard builds in Taiwan and, for the smaller models, in Florida, with American headquarters in Seattle.
The range covers 14 to 40 m: the Divergence and Explorer from 45 to 62 feet, the Revolution from 84 to 112 feet, and the Legend up to 135 feet, with Evan K. Marshall designs and contemporary interiors.
Strengths: a family company since 1978, careful construction, and a strong presence on the American market that supports resale.
