Icon Yachts was created in 2005 in Harlingen, Friesland, on an existing shipyard site. The yard made its name with yachts of 60 m and more, then with conversions of working vessels into explorers, such as Ragnar, a former 68 m icebreaker.
Production covers 50 to 100 m, in steel and aluminium, in new build and conversion. The yard has a dry dock and a hall suited to large yachts, and works with studios such as Vripack or H2.
Strengths: large explorers and conversions at a controlled price, a suitable dry dock, and recognised studios.
